The transformation is starting today - in our minds.
The Zukunft-Fabrik.2050 provides an open and independent platform for positive visions and ideas for shaping the future, and injects these into the dialogue between the public, politics, academia, and business.

Our white paper "Shaping the Future 2050"
Europe lacks a vision. Germany lacks a vision. Twenty years of crises and crisis management left no time to develop visions. Our mighty economic partner in the far east, China, shows us – well packaged in a gigantic marketing strategy – not only how to sell visions. Hence we must ask ourselves: Do we want to adopt a “new silk road” as vision for the future, or do we want a different future? How should it look like?
Our white paper “Shaping the Future 2050” is a first step to raise awareness as to why we need a positive vision for the future. In four areas – the future of work, mobility, health, and government -, the white paper lays out forseeable developments and, following normative foresight, drafts 40 hypotheses how our future in 2050 should look like. These hypotheses were developed and discussed at the 2021 DEKON conference. Our aim is to trigger debates which need to take place to make long-term thinking the basis for action in society, politics, academia, and business.
